Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis have threatened to eat Tyson Fury for dinner.
The Gypsy King has been told that the best heavyweights of the 1990s would eat him alive, and that he is competing in a much easier era.
In the eyes of some, Tyson Fury’s comeback story and undefeated career make him one of the best heavyweights in history.
Frank Bruno, on the other hand, is skeptical that the Gypsy King would be able to hold his own against some of the division’s stars during his fighting days.
Bruno put his friendship with Fury aside to claim that he is on a “different cloud” than when he was fighting.
He also doubts that the Briton could compete with the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis at their peak.
“He knows deep down in his heart that if he were around back then, they’d eat him for dinner and breakfast,” Bruno told DAZN.
“I’m not here to disparage Tyson Fury, but we’re in a different era.”
He’s on a different cloud than me.
“Good luck to him; he’s the best, and he deserves to be the best.
I have a lot of admiration for him.”
After retaining his WBC title against Deontay Wilder, Bruno shared his thoughts on the Gypsy King’s upcoming fight.
