Mike Tyson Describes the ‘Scary’ Thing About Floyd Mayweather

The legendary heavyweight ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson was a scary opponent to be booked against for a fight. He walked people down in the ring and earned several lightning-quick knockouts. However, ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’ has revealed one thing he found scary in another elite puncher in Floyd Mayweather.
On his recent podcast with Paul Pierce and Jermall Charlo, Tyson emphasized the ‘scary’ thing that Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather had with him.
When his guest said the only person who had no bad habits was “Floyd,” Tyson replied, “Oh, isn’t that scary…Yeah, he don’t f**k around, man. He is around all these brothers, he is in the corner playing checkers. He’s always in the shape.”
Mayweather wasn’t one to shy away from living his life. He visited clubs and parties, but always kept himself isolated from all the bad habits which would affect his body and game. This scary thing away from the ring proved to be equally important in helping ‘Money’ reign supreme.
An impact of a healthy regime on Floyd Mayweather
Mayweather had a strict fitness regime and didn’t let anyone distract him.
Although he regularly trains in a crowd, he keeps his focus trained on his goals, which makes him the conqueror of the ring.
A significant example is his fight against Canelo Alvarez. Despite being older and having a less powerful striking ability, Mayweather handed Alvarez a one-sided beat down.
Certainly, Mayweather is not like other legends who are famous for their knockout or speed abilities. Instead, he is popular for his smartness, technique, and mindset, which he uses in the ring.
The ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd Mayweather stayed in shape for over two decades of his career. At the age where most of the boxers fight for a final few paydays, he fought for glory and world titles.
