Drew McIntyre Takes Exception To The Undertaker’s Comments On WWE’s “Soft” Product

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre does not agree with The Undertaker referring to WWE's product as "soft."

Drew McIntyre was unimpressed with The Undertaker’s recent comments branding WWE’s current product “soft.”

Taker, who spoke on The Joe Rogan Experience recently, claimed he was able to leave on his own terms and isn’t bitter over his retirement, though he thinks the product doesn’t have that edge to it anymore.

The statement has irked many a wrestler on the WWE roster, including Drew, who says he wholly disagrees.

“I don’t agree whatsoever,” he told Sportskeeda in quotes transcribed by Ringside News. “Especially from an in-ring perspective. I’ve listened to part of it, I’ve not got to listen to the whole thing it’s pretty new, but I think he may have been referring to like the kind of storylines and characters, etc. Like the co-host that was on the show was like a fan from the attitude era and I think they were perhaps referring to some of the outlandish storylines. Back in the day, there were more sexual-based, more like risque 18 plus. Our current product is PG, there’s only so far we can push it and we’re willing to push it.

“There’s certain things from back in the day that was awesome and certain things that were not awesome that I wouldn’t wanna go back to. So I’m not sure if it was more from like that perspective when it comes to the stories and not being as adult-based as it used to be but I think you know we’re walking a good line right now. But when it comes to the in-ring game, that’s just not true at all. It’s never been more physical.”

You Just Have To Beat Goldberg Now

The Undertaker said his final farewell to the WWE Universe at Survivor Series last November and there’s no indication as to whether a return is already on the cards, although there’s been talk of a possible WrestleMania appearance.

Drew, meanwhile, will be going up against a veteran star in Goldberg at the upcoming Royal Rumble. It would really be sticking it to Taker should he triumph.
