Undertaker To Appear At An Undertaker-Themed Survivor Series PPV [Report]

It appears there are plans for The Deadman. They're basing the entire Survivor Series pay-per-view around the Undertaker and his return.

For fans wondering if they would get to see The Undertaker in the ring again, it appears WWE is working on it. While The Deadman stepping back into the ring won’t likely be for a match, it sounds as though The Phenom will be making an appearance at this year’s Survivor Series event.

As per a report from popular social media reporters @WrestleVotes, the current plan is to build the Survivor Series pay-per-view around the 30th anniversary of Taker. That includes Mark Calaway making a live appearance during the pay-per-view. They write:

The upcoming 11/22 Survivor Series PPV will be built around the 30th Anniversary of The Undertaker, including him making a live appearance on the show. A source states as of now, The Undertaker will not be wrestling at the event.

Further that report, it appears WWE will use Survivor Series to conclude the “30 Days of The Deadman” programming that will begin on the WWE Network immediately following Hell in a Cell this Sunday. WWE will air a new documentary each week and the series will take a look at the entire career of Calaway and The Undertaker along with his most iconic and memorable moments.

For those that can remember back or learned during other Undertaker specials, he debuted at the 1990 Survivor Series pay-per-view. The event holds a very special place in the story that is the success of The Deadman. He was the mystery partner for the Million Dollar Team led by Ted DiBiase and wiped out every competitor in the bout. He catapulted to the top of the roster within a year’s time.

Could Plans For A Match Change?

As it stands right now, this is simply an appearance and not a match. That could potentially change but if it does, it would be interesting to see how WWE and The Undertaker would work that in.

He’s not wrestled since WrestleMania 36 and he’s certainly not getting time to prepare for a bout of any magnitude. Could he be a mystery partner for another team again? It would be a great way to have him back without the need for him to do much.
