Oleksandr Usyk’s Manager Hints at a Rematch With Anthony Joshua, Will It Really Happen?

On September 25, Oleksandr Usyk will collide with one of the best heavyweights at present, Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian boxer will go toe-to-toe against the unified heavyweight champ for his titles. This bout is one highly important fight in the big men’s division, as it will determine a contender for an undisputed bout.

But despite the outcome, there’ll be two fights taking place between this pair. Recently, Alex Krassyuk, who works as a promoter for Usyk, spoke about the latter’s possibilities of winning against ‘AJ’ and the rematch clause.

Speaking exclusively to MyBettingSites, he said, “The rematch is something that is not obligatory in the mandatory fight. But we accepted the very fair conditions to agree to it. Usyk is very confident in his victory over AJ and easily agreed for the second bout because his mindset will be even more favorable after he wins first.”

“Let the best man win and we will do it again in the rematch.”

With Krassyuk’s above comments, it’s clear that the Joshua vs Usyk feud won’t end in one bout. Earlier, the Brit was supposed to face Tyson Fury for all the heavyweight titles on the line. However, owing to external factors, Usyk was the only viable opponent for ‘AJ’.

The Hertfordshire native still has an aspiration to fight for the undisputed heavyweight strap. To do so, he’ll first have to remove a major roadblock in Usyk, not once but twice.

Will Oleksandr Usyk pull off an upset and vanquish Anthony Joshua?

Usyk, an undefeated contender, has nothing to lose in his fight against Joshua. But, if he loses, the latter, who sits at the peak of this division, will miss out on the tremendous opportunity of fighting for all the titles on the line.

Moreover, if ‘AJ’ loses, he’ll also have to leave all his hard-earned belts. But defeating a powerhouse like ‘AJ’ won’t be a straightforward job for Usyk.
