Mr. T has opened up about his time as Muhammad Ali ‘s bodyguard, and painted the picture of a real life superhero.
The A-Team star – who worked with the iconic boxing champion during a period of his life protecting the rich and famous that spanned almost a decade – revealed the sporting icon would actually stop crimes and fights in rough neighborhoods.
Speaking to TMZ , he said: “You’d see guys arguing on the corner, about to cut each other. He’d say, ‘Hey hey!’

“The guys stopped fighting, and they say, ‘It’s the champ!’ He’d say ‘Break that up’, and Ali was stop stuff!”
Mr. T admitted he learned a lot from his time alongside Ali, and repeated the gesture when he became a star in his own right.
Mr. T still sees Ali is his hero
“A lot of the stuff I do in terms of PR, I learned it from Muhammad Ali,” he added. “He told me you gotta be different but good.”

The star said that he “loved the man”, and revealed just how much the legendary boxer inspired him.
He said: “He’s my hero. I had an opportunity to bodyguard [for him] back in the day. I used to write essays and speeches about him. He’s my hero.”
