The Big Bang Theory Star Shares Blooper Reel for Jim Parsons’ Birthday

The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik celebrates co-star, Jim Parsons' birthday by posting a compilation video of Sheldon and Amy's blooper scenes.

Mayim Bialik celebrates her The Big Bang Theory co-star Jim Parsons’ birthday with a video of their BTS videos. The pair played couple Sheldon and Amy in the sitcom which ended with them winning the Nobel Prize in Physics.

It’s been almost two years since the CBS sitcom ended its 12-year-run and fans are starting to get nostalgic for the show. The Big Bang Theory‘s abrupt wrap-up came after Parsons decided not to return anymore for another year which shocked his co-stars as recently recalled by Kaley Cuoco in an interview. This was a bigger surprise to the public as not only was the series still posting high viewership ratings, the network also just revealed that they were having internal discussions for ordering season 13. In the end, the cast and producers decided to cap off its run altogether instead of moving forward without its real main lead.

As Parsons celebrates his birthday this year, Bialik takes it to her official Instagram account to share a compilation video of their bloopers throughout the years. Considering that Sheldon and Amy make the oddest couple in the series, they also had the strangest interactions in The Big Bang Theory, and it’s clear that even the actors couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of their scenes. Unlike Parsons, Bialik, alongside Melissa Rauch only joined The Big Bang Theory in season 4 after being introduced as Amy and Bernie in season 3. Since then, however, she became an integral part of the Pasadena gang, especially with regard to Sheldon’s arc as the pair began a romantic relationship. While she was initially positioned as the female version of the socially-inept genius, she changed over time, becoming more emotionally-attuned thanks to her friendship with Penny and Bernie. Working closely for almost a decade, it’s clear that Bialik and Parsons have developed a good working relationship — so much so that they decided to team up again after The Big Bang Theory in Call Me Kat.

Sheldon’s story continues, however, via The Big Bang Theory‘s prequel spinoff, Young Sheldon. While the show takes place years before the titular character met his wife, it’s still able to build on their love story. In the season 4 premiere, it’s revealed that they’re still going strong and ultimately share a son named Leonard Cooper. The same episode featured Bialik in a voice cameo and considering the actors’ ongoing working relationship in Call Me Kat, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Amy is featured again in the offshoot moving forward.
